History
Bay was used by the Romans and Greeks to make the crowns given to their heroes.
Growing
Bay is best grown from cuttings by planting them in pots and covering with plastic bags.
Can be planted after six months time but keep out of wind and cold. If
growing Bay in northern climates it might be best to plant in a tub or container and
brought in during the winter.
Uses
Best used fresh, which tends to be stronger than dried Bay. However, you can dry the
leaves in a dark place for future use. Bay Leaf is often used in a garni.

Bay leaf is one of the more widely used herbs throughout the world. It lends
