Growing
Lemon Grass has a bulb-like base with stalks and both can be used in cooking. To
grow Lemon Grass, plant in well drained soil and keep moist, not wet. When stalks
are tall, you can take a bulb out for cooking
Uses
Used with fish dishes and in soups and sauces

Although known primarily for its' use in Southeast Asian cooking, Lemon Grass is becoming
more popular in many dishes prepared throughout the world. Some gourmet markets are
carrying both fresh and dried lemon grass now. There is nothing like the scent and,
more particularly, the taste of Lemon Grass; think of lemon zest with a splash of ginger
and you have it. Like Bay Leaf, remove most of the pieces from your cuisine but
leave some leaves (no pun intended) for drama!
