Shortbread Cookies

These cookies, for dessert or simply a midnight snack, are just way too good.  Be careful that you don't eat them all before giving any to your friends and neighbors (ha ha)!  Enjoy!

Your Host,  Brad

1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 cups butter (4 sticks) at room temperature

4 cups all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
pinch of baking powder

Cream sugar and butter together.  Sift in the flour, salt and baking powder.

Form into balls the size of a quarter, and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake in a 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.  Watch carefully.

Makes 60 cookies
