Want a unique, crispy taste?  How about some pickled Pea Pods on your picnic table?  Enjoy!

Your Host,  Brad

4 quarts edible pod peas

1/2 tsp crushed red peppers (per jar)
1/2 tsp whole mustard seed (per jar)
1/2 tsp dill seed (per jar)
1 clove garlic (per jar)

5 cups vinegar
5 cups water
1/2 cup salt

Wash the peas and place in 12 sterilized pint jars, dividing evenly.  In each jar add the peppers, mustard seed, dill seed, and garlic

In a saucepan, combine the vinegar, water and salt and bring to a boil.  Pour over the peas and spices in the jars.  Seal.  Process for 5 minutes in boiling water bath.
