1/4 cup butter
2 Tbl flour
1 cup boiling water
1/8 tsp salt (unless you are using salted water)
Dash of white pepper
Melt half of the butter in a saucepan.
Blend in the flour and gradually add the boiling water, stirring constantly
until smooth. Continue stirring until the sauce boils and thickens.
Add the salt and pepper and remove from
