Apple
Sauce

Sweet apples cooked to a wonderful mélange of tasty
delight. What a wonderful accompaniment to skillet pork chops. Serve hot or
cold, Enjoy!

6 Granny Smith (best) apples, peeled and coarsely
chopped
1/2 sugar
1/2 cup apple cider
6 whole cloves
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 Tbl lemon juice
Combine first four ingredients and bring to a boil in
large saucepan; reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes. Cool slightly and
discard cloves.
At this point you can either serve as chunky style, or
process in a blender or food processor in small batches, until smooth. Return to
saucepan, stir in butter and lemon juice. Cook another 2 or 3minutes until
thoroughly heated.
