Your whole family will awaken to the aroma of this simple, yet tasty, breakfast treat.  From start to finish, this recipe will be ready in about half an hour.  I hope you enjoy!

Your Host,  Brad

1 cup sugar
1 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
4 Tbl butter
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 Tbl sugar mixed with 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 375°F.  Butter an 8-inch square baking dish or spray with cooking oil.

Mix the 1 cup sugar, flour and baking powder in a large bowl.   Work in the butter with a pastry blender (or just use your fingers like I do) until everything resembles coarse meal.  Add the egg and milk and mix well.  Spoon into the pan.  Sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture evenly over the top.  Bake for about 25 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
